The Little Northener
Our interim office manager, Kate, tells me that my name - Nordling - in Afrikaans means 'little northern person'.
Cape Town! Cape Town, between the Mountains and the Sea!
West Wind blew there; the light upon the Silver Tree
Fell like bright rain in gardens of the men of old.
O proud walls! White towers! O wing'd crown and throne of gold!

Fantastiskt.
Det har jag alltid själv velat kalla dig. För det är här du hör hemma, men du verkar ju inte förstå det.
Hur är människorna? Är folk hjälpsamma och trevliga?
People are nice, but won't help someone in distress if they don't know them personally. So if you break down on the highway, or get mugged, nobody will step in - unless they know you. It's a survival of the fittest world in that respect.
Friends of friends, however, will be very nice. And business is conducted in a friendly way, which is really nice.
